The Keqiutou Relics, located in Nanlong Village, Pingtan, is the earliest Neolithic site unearthed in Fujian Province to date, dating back to 5,590 to 7,450 years ago.

Stoneware, bone implements, jade ware, shell artifacts, pottery and other relics were unearthed here, hinting at the Early Neolithic culture in Fujian and Taiwan. 

In 2004, the Fujian Museum, in cooperation with the Department of Anthropology at the University of Hawaii and the Bishop Museum of Hawaii, carried out research on the Southeast Prehistoric Seacraft and the Austronesian.  

Numerous evidence indicates that Keqiutou was the place where the ancestors of Pingtan resided and thrived over 6,000 years ago.
