First multi-purpose postal outlet in Pingtan

The first post office in a residential community has recently been opened for business in Pingtan, an island off E China’s Fujian province. Serving a neighborhood of 30,000 residents, the post office is a multi-purpose community hall that houses a post office, a rest station for cleaners, a gathering place for retired servicemen, and a promo showroom for produce. "Previously, staff are required to do door-to-door deliveries. Now, residents can come here to retrieve their parcels. The widespread branches give us an upper hand to provide better service and greater convenience for the people," said Fan Yidan, general manager of the Pingtan branch of China Post.
